In and out of school, there are different processes in human activities that we are supposed to give a look and have a look out to ensure that things are going on as expected based on the plan that we made for them. The activity processes may vary from activities, programs, projects, and business endeavors which require a review to ensure that they are on track in the attainment of specific goals.

            There are two important processes needing to be considered to able to measure the positive or negative implications within the development stages of specific tasks. If not applied, the certainty of accomplishing anything will be far from over. 

            Assessment and evaluation are tools that can help us carry out potential tasks to their expected results, the way that would like them to be. Unfortunately, there are moments especially when a project or program is not working out well that the application of the said tools are often overlooked that adds up to a series of confusions.

            To align matters in their perspective, we must be able to define the proper utilization of assessment and evaluation.  It must be clearly understood that both are serving as measuring lines to attain specific objectives and goals with the given direction. The common denominator of assessment and evaluation is that both of them require established criteria on what is to be measured. Furthermore, it would also mean that the answers to the said criteria are evidence-driven, meaning not based on mere opinion or assumption alone. In settling with it , the review process can be carried out with a certain degree of confidence.

            Though there is a common link between the process, assessment usually comes in first. In giving consideration to the availability of data, the perspective of understanding the assessment process is with the comprehension that the activity is ongoing. To have a clearer overview, the measure of the development can be further distinguished by the positive and negative results within implemented stages. Individualized activities are also taken into full consideration with the use data as reference as the activity develops. The feedback process will provide the persons responsible in making assumptions on how things can be further directed and managed.

            After doing the assessment, the focus of the review can be facilitated to the evaluation process. Based on the inputs derived from the assessment, the evaluation phase will be able to help in correcting the shortfalls that were previously noted. When shortfalls are applied against an established set of standards, prudency in making the right decisions will set the course for properly direct the implementation. When these matters are cleared, disclosures can be arrived at until the next assessment and evaluation takes place. The transition of positive developments will help enhance the attainment of activities, programs, projects and business endeavors towards completion with risks mitigated.
