A lot of patience, dedication and commitment are needed by someone who wants to become a teacher, a real teacher.
Nowadays, anybody can be a secretary, a labourer, a nurse, a policeman, an accountant, a doctor or an engineer. But not everyone can be a teacher. Teachers are said to be the second parent of the children. They are being trusted much by the parents when their child enters the school.  Since children spend most of their days in the school, they believe more and rely more to what their teachers tell them rather than what their parents say to them. Though sometimes they are misinterpreted in what they say or do, children still believe them. That’s why teachers are said to be the most believable and reliable people in a community.
How many of you still remember the people who made a difference in your life? Are they one of your teachers? Maybe your answer is yes. Can you also remember these “Don’t do that, do this.”, “I know you can do it, trust yourself.”, and “Very good!”. These are the words that some of the teachers often say to their students when they are inside or outside the classroom. The words you cannot easily forget because you were just being reminded by your behaviour while you were still studying. No one in this world could be somebody without their teachers. Everyone was once inspired by their teachers. It’s just up to them on how they will value anything they’ve learn from their dear teachers. But still, along their journey, their teachers were always there.
My dear colleagues, friends and co-teachers in this noblest profession, let us continue to serve our nation through the little children we are teaching. If we were patient, dedicated and committed for the last fifteen years, continue for another fifteen years or more. We are not just doing these for the future strong leaders of the society but we are doing these to make a difference in this world.
