The Department of Education will conduct the 2012 Brigada Eskwela known also as the National Schools Maintenance Week on May 21-26, 2012.
On May 21, it was expected to hold a caravan as the launching of the first day of the said activity.
Brigada Eskwela is a school maintenance that engages all the education stakeholders to contribute their time, effort and resources in ensuring that public school facilities are set in time for the school opening on June 04, 2012.
To strengthen the awareness on the importance of hygiene and sanitation among students, the DepEd encourages volunteers to support the improvement of toilets wash facilities.
Likewise, improving the schools of indigenous communities is encouraged.
DepEd encourages the people in the community near the school and all organizations to join on the school program.
