Stubbornness is cute in a toddler but by the time the child reaches school age, unruly behavior is a problem for parents, teachers and others. The first step in correcting the problem is to admit that our own parenting methods probably allowed our child to become unruly and by altering them, we can help our child behave appropriately.
For both teachers and parents, they have to set clear boundaries and stick to them. A child needs to be taught about the how and why of things. They should be given proper explanation to whatever negative attitudes they had shown.
More so, set reasonable punishments that get results. All children are different and one child may respond quickly if the punishment is grounding while another might need his allowance reduced. Avoid using chores as a punishment. Children should do chores without pay as part of being in a family.
Lastly, explaining to children that you became mad on them will surely cope up to the emotions that live within them.
