Teachers have been long criticized for being detached from the realities of life, confined within four walls of their classroom. Traditionally, chalkboard is enough for the teacher to teach his lesson and spend the whole day through discussions.

Entirely acceptable or not, the Philippines was left behind by its neighboring countries as far as development in the educational system is concern… innovative instructions, modern facilities and sophisticated learning equipment to name some.

Learning, as it occurs in today’s global high-tech world is a phenomenon that does not only take in the classroom. Hence, the growing demands for people who can effectively transmit knowledge and are skillful in the forming the skills and attitudes among the students is necessary nowadays. These are the teachers who can respond to the call of the modern time and are most willing to be trained and posses the initiative to collaborate for learning advancement.

As part of instructions, educators should go beyond their traditional methods of teaching to introduce the outer world to the learners by using the internet and expose them to the current issues in the global community.
