High School is the central organizing experience in most adolescent’s lives. It gives the chance to learn new ideas, new friends. It master new skills and sharpen old ones; enhance one’s personality and social skills by taking part in sports and other activities and by meeting new friends. It helps an individual to determine on what career to pursue in the near future.

What makes a high school good? Research points to such factors as an active, energetic principal; an orderly, unoppressive atmosphere, teachers who take part in making decisions, a principal and teachers with high expectations for students, an emphasis on academics and frequent monitoring of students performance.

High school provides an important life transistion as young people move from the security of the simpler world of childhood to a large-scale organizational environment.

“ is there life after high school? Where will this education lead to? What kind of work will I do? Do I still need more education?” These are questions that adolescents ask themselves with more urgency as their high school years come to an end; therefore, it is very much inevitable for adolescents to have a good training ground and good learning experience during high school years in order for them to develop a strong sense of maturity and readiness to face life’s challenges they will encounter along the way.
