Absenteeism…Tardiness… These are the common problems usually encountered by teachers. But who’s to blame? Parents, teachers, children themselves, financial status of their families and many others.

Survey says there are several factors why children don’t come to school and prefer to be late. Parents are the first persons who are responsible for the tardiness and absenteeism of their children in school. They should guide them.

Another reason Is the financial problem that arise in the family. The family is quite big, yet no source of income. Can a child go to school with empty stomach? Of course not! But sometimes it’s the teacher factor that hinders the child to pursue his studies. Instances are quite rare but it really happens.

But there are times it’s the influence of the environment that ruined their craving for learning. As a result they involved themselves in the bad activities outside the school. Until finally we come up with drop-outs that eventually became the problem of society,

Perhaps it’s about time for us to work hand in hand and find out our best remedies about this fast growing problem.

It’s not too late anyway and there is always a room for improvement. Let us make these youth what we actually wanted them to be. Let us make them a part of the nation building.
