K to 12 Program is the newest curriculum that is being implemented by the Department of Education. It is one way of achieving success especially in English where it enhance the study of second language which include the spoken word or oral communication – the give and take of people in everyday living. It is also of great help needed for the improvement of our communication skills likewise requires our mastery of the various techniques.
Through K to 12 Program come of the technique combined with our understanding, enjoyment and appreciation for adventure in literature. Further enrichment comes from other channels – televisions, radio, electronic media etc.
In other words, the scope of the series which falls under the K to12 Program include every means by which we can reach one another. Spoken and written words connect mind with mind, heart with heart and the present age with the past. Thus, each of us can share in history and tradition of our civilization, and in our own way, contribute to the world today.
Indeed, we really have to welcome and appreciate K to 12 Program whole heartedly. Allow me to say some words of Francis Bacon as I quote, “ A wise man will make more opportunities than he finds”.
