Recently, the City of Marikina and the Municipality of Orion in Bataan were connected electronically with the Philippine Business Registry (PBR). They have just empowered their constituents to lodge their applications for new businesses on-line with the Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Bureau of Internal Revenue (BIR) and their respective Business Permit and Licensing Office (BPLO). Meanwhile, six more local government units (LGUs) now accept the PBR Unified Printable
Form, to wit:
1. Cabuyao, Laguna
2. Malabon City, NCR
3. Muntinlupa City, NCR
4. Quezon City, NCR
5. Tacurong City, Sultan Kudarat
6. Taguig City, NCR
The said LGUs may advise the PBR registrants to submit additional documents, if needed. As for businesses located at other cities and Municipalities, the PBR will still be useful for business name registration at the DTI, and Tax Identification Number (TIN) validation or generation and Certificate of Registration (CoR) at the BIR.
