Mayor Tony Pep signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the Canadian Executive Service Organization (CESO) and the League of Municipalities of the Philippines (LMP) to support the project dubbed as e-Governace for Municipal Developement. The MOU was signed in UP Los Baños, Laguna last Sept. 12, 2007.
The project’s goals are to improve governance and increase efficiency of public service delivery by building the capacities of municipalities to improve revenue generation and business climate through information and communications technologies (ICTs).
Through package trainings, sixty (50) Luzon municipalities shall be assisted to implement an e-governance project using the 3 eLGU system application software (Real Property Tax System, Business Permit and Licensing System and Treasury Operations Management System) and with the support of NCC personnel and Canadian e-governance experts.
