Does your throat feel itchy? Do you sneeze often? Do you have a runny nose? If so, then watch out – you might have caught the common cold. Most people suffer from colds about three times every year. While it is not a serious, a cold can cause a lot of discomfort. It can force pupils to miss their classes for several days. Sad to say, doctors still haven’t found a practical cure for this disease, which occurs more often than all others combined. Just what exactly is the common cold and how does one contract it? Contrary to popular belief, colds do not come from getting wet. A cold is caught from others who have the infection and who sneeze the virus into the air. People living in dirty areas are more likely to suffer frequently from colds. This is because the virus can be spread faster in unsanitary surroundings. Seeking to find relief, cold sufferers have tried all kinds of medications but with the little success. They should be happy to know, however, that there is a cheap and effective way to fight this disease. Still the best way to fight a cold is to avoid getting it in the first place. You can do this by staying away from sick people, exercising a lot, eating the right kind of food, getting enough sleep and taking enough vitamins C. Try to stay from it. Be healthy.
