Teachers play vital role in the progress and holistic development of one’s life. They have an active part in the child’s learning years. Teachers are equipped with knowledge to instruct the child to construct, to think independently and be creative so that learning will be an enjoyable experience.
One of the teacher’s duties is to encourage parents to play larger and more active role in their children’s education. Thus, teachers serve as link between home and school. Students do better when their families are involved in learning.
Education is said to be one of the main platform of Orion District Mayor, Jose S. Santos. He gave more emphasis to the importance of education in one’s life.
On March 18, 2013, Mayor Jose S. Santos during his privilege speech in the graduation ceremony at Calungusan Elementary School said that, “Teachers are link between school and home.” This means that teachers should build trust and establish positive school-family relationship. Teachers together with their student’s families were the one to encourage the development of their child’s capabilities. It is their responsibilities to help the child to learn, understand and care for others.
It is said that school and home contribute to child’s achievement and success.
