Our pupils often asked questions because of their active curiosity. Our pupils, especially those who are in Grade 1-3 are remarkable of their ability to ask questions. If teachers are analytical, they will observe that the word “why” is one of their favorite word.
Asking questions will help our pupils to develop their critical thinking and it is a great help in their growth and development as a person. Thus, we must allow and let our learners ask question during our discussions to unload their curiosity and lead them towards maturity. We must give them enough time to express their doubts and fears. A good teacher has a listening ear for her pupils and is always willing to answer their questions.
In allowing our pupils to ask questions, we are applying a development framework in understanding our pupil’s behavior.
