“Tangkilikin sariling atin” is a saying that alwys come out whenever we buy something or do anything. As a teacher, how can we integrate in our lesson the value of being loyal to our country when it comes to buying products? Try to develop in them that it is very important to buy our own Philippine made product so that we can be of great help for our country’s economy and for Filipino economist with little capitals. This is only one of those things that we can show that we are proud of being a Filipino.
How can be proud f being a Filipino?
Every Monday morning before we go insikde our respective classroom we give salute to our flag by singing the National Anthem and reciting the Panunumpa sa Watawat ng Pilipinas” afterwards. And on the following days we give patriotic pledge by singing” Pilipinas kong Mahal”. This only shows our being nationalistic and our love for our own native land as we give respect to our national flag. Remember that in giving in due respect to the flag we still given in commemoration of the Philippine Heroes who died for our country.
By still prolonging the bayanihan and other old Filipino custom and traditions. It was sometime in August that we celebrated”Linggo ng Wika” and on the said program we again patronize Philippine folk dancing
By saying that we are Filipinos inside and outside of the country is one of the simple but very important gesture that we can do to show our being nationalistic.
Giving emphasis on the likes of Manny Pacquiao, Lea Salonga, Efren “Bata” Reyes, Mirriam Quiambao and even the group of disabled persons who won in the Olympics, they are just like us an ordinary people but they’re made our country proud of them. For this reason we should be proud that we are Filipinos. Filipinos in words and in deeds.
