The awarding of cash subsidy to senior citizens nationwide was an astonishing success as exclaimed by most elders who will be benefited from it aside from other privileges and benefits they are now enjoying under the Republic Acts 7432 and 9257.
In Orion, Bataan the officers and members of senior citizens are actively participating in their various activities / projects which maximize their contribution in nation building. The conscientious and unrelenting efforts of the Municipal Mayor were paid off by accepting elder’s role and integral part of the society.
The MSWD Officer and the OSCA President of Orion have witnessed the signing of the Memorandum of Agreement between the DSWD Regional Director and the Municipal Mayor Antonio L Raymundo of Orion which specifically includes the awarding of FIVE HUNDRED NINE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED PESOS ( Php 509,500.00 ) to eligible senior citizens.
Katas ng VAT is a one time cash subsidy of Php 500.00 to Senior Citizens who met the following eligibility requirements.
1. He or she should be 70 year sold and above
2. No regular income / or with an income that falls below poverty threshold
( Php 2,00.00- 4,000.00 )
3. Have not transferred residence for a period of six months
4. Must not be a US Citizen and / or living abroad
5. Must not be a pensioner
