The recent disaster caused by typhoon “ SANTI “ last October 30, 2009 has caused a lot of damages to the lives and properties of Filipinos especially those who live in Central and Southern Luzon, with this, the government has extended financial and material assistance to the victims.
In Orion, Bataan most of the families especially those who are living near the coastal areas were detrimentally affected causing a severe damages to their house. The DSWD as well as the LGU has extended food assistance to families who are victims of natural calamity.
Thru the initiative and quick response of Municipal Mayor Antonio L. Raymundo Jr., Emergency Shelter Assistance was initially implemented, awarding Fifty Five Thousand Pesos ( Php 55,000.00 ) to 11 families whose houses were totally blown downed and Seventy Eight Thousand Pesos ( Php 78,000.00 ) to thirty nine families with partially damaged houses.
