CITY OF BALANGA, Bataan — The provincial government, city of Balanga and the 11 municipalities here forged a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on illegal fishing and logging last February 20, 2008 at Louie’s Restaurant.
The said MOA officially converted the Anti-illegal Fishing Task Force into Bataan Anti-illegal Fishing/Logging Task Force. This is to provide more teeth to the drive – not only against illegal fishing, but to illegal cutting of trees as well.
The said activity participated in by the key environment authorities and the local chief executives of the respective local government units and other sector of the community is part of the integrated effort of the province anchored on its coastal strategy initiatives.
