Last August 23 – 25, 2012 at Raven Resort,Abucay, Bataan the Department of Education of Region III, Division of Bataan held the First Division Seminar Workshop for SPED Teachers. The SPED teachers are from 5 SPED Centers of Dinalupihan, Orani, Orion, Limay and Mariveles Elementary School.
The said seminar workshop was approved by the School Division Superintendent Romeo M. Alip, Ph D., CESO V.
The concepts of the seminar were the Registration of 150 SPED Fast and SPED Low teachers. It focus on Values Formation, tackled by Bro. Harold Espeleta, the speaker about Techniques in handling Mathematics. Mr. Amadeo Pangilinan Cristobal, the Legal Issues was tackled by Attorney Dr. Aragon Aguilar David, the topic in Reading & Strategies in teaching Science, was assigned to Mrs. Estrella R. Dela Rosa, Elementary Science Coordinator. Differentiated in Reading Strategies, discussed by the Coordinator in English, Mrs. Beata O. Samaniego while the Innovation and Action Research Income Generating Project explained by Jackie Tuazon.
The last speaker was Dr. Carolina Sugpatan, the assistant Supervisor of Balanga City School. She discussed the Assessment of Children, according to her “Best education for the youth in one of the biggest challenge of our time. Ironically, fewer hours are spent with their children.
Lastly, Jackie Tuazon challenge the SPED Teachers to “Give their best to their pupils, because the fortune of these pupils lies to the hands of the teachers while they are studying .
