Orion, Bataan. In the last LMP General Assembly held November 19-21, 2008 Mayor Tony Pep is one of the few champion mayors requested to present on the LGUs initiative in Information and Communication Technology (ICT).
The good mayor shared Orion commitment to ICT as a catalyst for progress. In his presentation he recounts all initiatives that has transformed Orion into what it is today in terms of computerization. He likewise discussed partnership with the LMP, MDC, DTI, NCC-CICT and CESO through the eGov4MD Project which is instrumental in formulating the Information System Strategic Plan (ISSP), the blueprint of the municipality in ICT.
Among the plans of Orion in pursuit of progress through the ICT is the operationalization of the eRPTS for real property taxes,eBPLS for business permit and licensing,ehe CBMS for poverty alleviation, CHITS for health information tracking, and further enhancement of the www.udyong.net, the official website of the municipality of Orion.
