The Philippine Civil Service celebrated its 110th year anniversary this September 2010. This year’s theme is: “In a R.A.C.E. to Serve! Advancing Responsive, Accessible, Courteous and Effective Public Service”.

As part of the area covered by the Civil Service Commission Region III, the Municipality of Orion joined and participated in the activities lined-up for the said celebration.

    Last September 3, 2010, Mrs. Norina L. Capili, Acting HRMO of the Orion Municipality and Ms. Maria Regina D. Sanchez, Clerk I, together with the other officers and members of the Council of Personnel Officers of Bataan, flocked to the CSC Regional Office to witness and celebrate this big event.

   Civil servants from the Province of Bataan took part in the competition for EHERSISYAW and TALENTADONG KAWANI (Solo and Group Performance), where our province delegates garnered major wins.

   This year’s Bataan delegation grabbed the 2nd place in group performance “EHERSISYAW” with the rendition from LGU-Mariveles, 3rd place in the Solo performance of Talentadong Kawani from the Bataan Peninsula State University and 2nd place in group performance of Talentadong Kawani represented by a group led by Mr. Teodoro Batiles of Orion.

   Coinciding with the observance of Civil Service Month, all government officials and employees in Orion participated in the flag raising ceremony held last September 8, 2010 at the Liwasang Balagtas at 8:00 AM, followed by the recitation of “Panunumpa ng Lingkod ng Bayan” thereafter, the taped messages of Hon. Francisco Duque, CSC Chairman and His Excellency President Benigno S. Aquino Jr. were aired.

   Then, last September 17, 2010, Mrs. Norina L. Capili, Acting HRMO, joined the officer and members of the Council of Personnel Officers Bataan Chapter for the Outreach Program at Bayan-Bayanan, Brgy. Pag-asa, Orani,Bataan.  Every member of the CPO has an assigned adoptee-member of the Aeta community to share school supplies, slippers or any other stuff.  Finally come September 30, 2010, the CPO-Bataan Chapter will have a “Lakbay-Aral” in the province.

With the culmination of these activities, the Philippine Civil Service 110th Year Anniversary would have been celebrated meaningfully!
