Teaching pupils with empty stomach is like putting water on a pail full of holes because whatever teaching is done, less learning will take place.
In connection to this perception, Capunitan Elementary School conducted a Supplementary Feeding Program to remedy the deteriorating ability to learn of pupils so as the arising problem of malnutrition among pupils.
The said Supplementary Feeding Program was planned to feed 25 most indigent pupils from Grades I-III. Before feeding, some preliminary check-ups, weighing and deworming were done to ensure the success of the program. These activities were done in cooperation with Municipal Health Center. The program was done in the whole month of July which was funded by the school.
To sum it up, Capunitan Elementary School is not only concerned to the learning of pupils but most especially to the health and nourishment of every pupil coming in and out of school everyday.
