SEAL OF GOOD HOUSEKEEPING AWARD FOR ORION

The Municipality of Orion was awarded the “Seal of Good Housekeeping” award by the Department of Interior and Local Government complying with the Full Disclosure Policy (FDP) of the DILG.

The award comes with a Php 800,000.00 financial assistance from the Local Government Support Fund (LGSF).

“We are much honored to receive this Seal of Good Housekeeping Award. This is a confirmation that we are on the right track in pursuing our goal following some fundamental principles in good governance like transparency and accountability. With this recognition we will be more inspired to continuously provide our residents with good governance,” Mayor Jose “Pepe” S. Santos said.

We intend to use the cash award to procure needed medical equipment for our rural health center. This is in line with our 8-point agenda included in the P.S. MARANGAL, specifically the letter R of MARANGAL which means RURAL HEALTH NA KUMPLETO SA PASILIDAD AT SERBISYONG MAAASAHAN.

Orion was chosen because of its compliance to the FDP which encourages all local government units to follow the straight and narrow path of transparency aimed at minimizing, preventing, and completely ridding the government of graft and corruption.
